H.E Dr Pezeshkian Irans President New year Message

.

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

New Year Message from His Excellency Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

O Changer of hearts and sight,

O Controller of night and day,

O Transformer of circumstances and states, Transform our states into the best of states.

This year, more than ever, we need Nowruz; a Nowruz that showcases our unity to the world. Nowruz, in our culture and country, has always symbolized a new beginning in life.

At the outset, I find it necessary to offer my condolences to the noble people of our country on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader and the devoted servants of this nation.

The prayer we recite at the turn of the new year is a request to Almighty God to improve our condition and transform our hearts so that we may move along His path.

This year, two blessed occasions coincide, Nowruz and Eid al-Fitr. For centuries, Nowruz, in our culture and belief, has for centuries, indeed, for millennia, been regarded in our country as a renewal of life.

We must strive to set aside all grudges, resentments, and differences. This year, more than ever, we need a Nowruz that reflects unity, cohesion, and national solidarity. We must abandon hatred, overcome hardships, and join hands and ensure that our Iran stands proud amidst these storms and crises. Eid al-Fitr is a celebration of self-purification after a month of spiritual discipline.

We do not seek conflict with Muslim countries. We are not pursuing war with Islamic nations; they are our brothers. The divisions that have emerged are the work of a treacherous enemy seeking to create discord among Muslims.

During the holy month of Ramadan, our beloved leader, commanders, ministers, and even those who spoke of humanity and human rights were martyred without any justification.

168 innocent children were martyred at a school; their backpacks filled with hopes and dreams. Yet those responsible claim to stand for humanity and human rights.

We believe in serving humanity, helping those in need, and caring for the sick. Yet, through their words and actions, they portray us as the guilty party.

At no point have we sought nuclear weapons. In our meetings with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, attended by members of the Defense Council and senior commanders, he has consistently and unequivocally stated that nuclear weapons are religiously prohibited (haram). No official in the Islamic Republic is permitted to pursue the development of weapons of mass destruction or direct policy toward that end. However, the United States and its President project to the world the claim that we have sought, and intended to seek, nuclear weapons, implying a drive toward mass destruction. Regrettably, parts of the international media accept these falsehoods and echo them.

Our aim is to confront those who have destabilized the region. They believed that by assassinating our leaders and commanders, the country would collapse.

Amid the height of the conflict, as our fighters were engaged in battle and continue today to defend the nation with strength and steadfastness, our people created an exceptional scene. Throughout those twenty days of war, our fasting citizens did not leave the streets empty even for a single day, a reality that many found scarcely believable.

The President of the United States asserted that these were merely artificial intelligence; it would be more appropriate for him to send his journalists to witness how this so-called ‘artificial intelligence’, in motion and raising its voice defends humanity, rights, the nation, and the country’s territorial integrity.

These are the people of this country like a roaring river, standing ready to defend their homeland with their lives, and we are grateful to them. The Basij and law enforcement forces, despite the destruction of their workplaces and homes, performed exceptionally in maintaining public security. Their efforts are commendable, as are the voluntary services provided by people in mosques and on the streets.

The government has also done its utmost to ensure uninterrupted services. Iranians living abroad are also encouraged to set aside past grievances in this New Year and, with unity and cohesion, strive for the dignity and prosperity of Iran.

Our dear neighbors who surround Iran, you are our brothers. For any misunderstandings or damage that may have arisen in our relations, we pray that God helps remove these differences. We are ready to resolve all issues with you, dear ones. To ensure regional peace and stability, an Islamic security framework among Middle Eastern countries should be established in order to guarantee peace, security and the stability of the region.

There is no need for foreign presence in the region. Together, we can form an “Islamic Assembly of the Middle East” to coordinate security, economic, cultural, and political relations.

We have no right to fight with one another. We must not, under any pretext, fall into the traps set for us by our enemies. We declare to the world that we are not seeking turmoil in the region. We do not want any country to be forced to stockpile weapons and ammunition just to defend itself, constantly waiting and wondering whether its territory will be attacked or not.

We are in no way thinking of interfering in the internal affairs of other countries. We absolutely do not wish for the security and stability of the region to be disrupted. This is something we can resolve ourselves, by working together and joining hands. This is a message to the countries of the region: instead of using the media to promote the narrative to your own people that Iran is the cause of instability in the region, you should recognize and understand that it is Israel that is responsible for turmoil, instability, acts of genocide, terrorism, and sabotage in the region.

Our dear compatriots should know that through solidarity and mutual support, we will build our Iran and bring honor and pride to our people. By fostering peace and friendship with our neighboring countries, we will move the region toward stability, development, and economic prosperity. Together, we can ensure security and well-being in the region alongside our neighbors.
