Telephone Conversation Between the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Sri Lanka Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E Seyed Abbas Araghchi, held a telephone conversation with Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister H.E Vijitha Herath on Friday night 13 March 2026. During the call, H.E Dr. Araghchi briefed his counterpart on the latest developments following the military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran. He also expressed appreciation to the Government of Sri Lanka for its efforts in the rescue operation for the sailors of IRIS Dena and for its assistance in facilitating the transfer of the bodies of 84 martyrs of this unlawful aggression, back to Iran.
